A maze in Teeter consists of more than just walls and holes. These are the blocks you are challenged with:
Mines let the ball explode, you lose lives according to your distance to the mine on explosion.
Trapdoors are holes that become visible when it is already too late to react.
Springs catapult the ball into the air.
Black holes attract the ball.
Gold items grant or take away points.
Hearts grant or take away up to three lives.
Visiting a checkpoint always grants some points, but whereas blue checkpoints do not need to be visited, red ones are mandatory.
You wouldn't have guessed: To finish a level, you have to get here!
When a button is activated, it may trigger the effect of another block. Some buttons can only be pushed once, others will snap back to their initial state after some time or toggle their state.
Elevators move up and down button- or time-triggered and can block or unblock paths or move your ball to a higher plane.
Ghost blocks (dis-)appear after some time or when a button is triggered.
When entering a portal, the ball will teleport to a connected portal's exit.
Teeter levels can be created with any image editor, but to speed things up, we offer a special tool to create own levels.
